I woke up this morning, on christmas day, and read the sad new about Mr. James Brown's passing away and had to go back to bed crying.

Not only did he mean a great deal to me, and to most people on this planet with a pulse, but it also reminded me what a disastrous years this truly has been in regards to wonderful people dying on us.

It's time to dress up and go see some relatives right now, but I just can't seem to get going. I'd rather hide in bed for the rest of the day as things are now.

Rest in peace Mr. Brown. You're now the hardest working saint in heaven.

+1. The demographics are downright depressing.

Of course the real answer is that they can never be replaced.  Everything is different.

Found out last night while driving to Dallas from Houston about 1 am.  Freaked my girlfriend out, guess I she was sleeping when I shrieked.  News like that should never come between Christmas songs.

He was a nice guy... when he wasn't on PVC, and beating the living shit out of a woman.

That said, for many people, there are but two stars in the sky; Elvis, and James Brown...

(oh, and Creed! Sorry!)

He was on the news just this past Friday, and for a man in his 70's, he looked good.
It just goes to show you that tomorrow is guarenteed to no one, but we know this, Papa's got a brand new bag now.

On "PVC"?!!- Perhaps you are in the middle of a home repair project. I'm sure you meant PCP. If he was smoking PVC he would have been dead decades ago.

Everyone great, even statuesque, does not have to always be a good person.

Excellent Music, Mr. Brown.

Well put Mr. Compass... I was trying to come up with a polite way to say this for about a day now.

Good music....
