TFK v600 mixer
« on: December 15, 2006, 09:58:50 PM »

Hi Oliver,

Is good you're here again Smile

I have most of the parts (modules) from an old Telefunken Ela V600 mixer (I think its called V600, the modules are larger black-face danner modules instead smaller silver modules)
Here is the list for the modules I own:

2x W620
2x V620
8x V620b
4x V621
3x V624
4x V625
2x V629
2x U629
1x U630

I have some documentation, just for the V620 (including a,b,c,d), the V624 and the U629. Tried almost all resources looking for info and schematic without success, so you are my last hope...
I have a pair of the V624 preamps already racked, really nice sound. The W620 faders are passive so the pinout would be easy.
The U630 seems to be a kind of variant for the U629, but the V621 & V625 schematics seem to be impossible to find...
What I really want to do is restore the modules for building a 8 channels mixer, so any help will be very appreciated.
Also some of the history of that mixers would be very interesting!

Thanks a lot,

Synthi

Hello Synthi,

it sounds that you have either an Export mixer, or a later ANT mixer that still used the Telefunken name. The modules numbers that you refer to are probably ANT made, so without a pic it is hard to say.

Hi Oliver,

Is pure tfk, not that ant crap Wink
made in late 60s - early 70s. The U629 for example, can be in both formats (I have another U629b but in the "standard" smaller tfk size, silve face)

I`m attaching you a copy for the U629 so you can see both formats:

The modules are fully discrete designs. I`m attaching a couple of phothos for the V620 so you can identify the kind of modules I`m speaking.

Thanks!!

Synthi,

what you have there is the Telefunken Export modules that were build outside the IRT speced Radio-market. I never saw to many of them, the only one was for a german exposition hall. If you have a picture of the entire console that would be great.

Best regards,
