Yeah...I've considered that...it's also a 4 buss, so I could theoretically use 2 of those busses as a left and right and just do hard assigns...we'll see...I still have to get together with Dan Kennedy to figure out how we can go about this.

Very nice find.
We've got 12 mm310's in our board.
They had a marked improvement after being recapped.
The summing architecture might be something to look into, as well.
The EQ's are very broad and soft sounding.. and great.
We do notching in the cpu or with outboard.

Have fun with it!

I'll look through my docs to see what I've got.  you might talk to the crew at www.orphanaudio.com.  They know quite a bit about Q8.

Is it +/- 24v?

According to my docs, it is +/- 28v...

A friend has a bunch of Quad-Eight modules and you're right, they're all +/- 28V.

Quote:

schenatics, wiring schedule for the console...quad eight brochure...it's pretty wild.

Any chance you could duplicate the preamp schematics for me?

Sweet!! how often do you get free gear?  and wow good free gear to boot Razz

I second the schematics Smile, but for archival purposes Razz  anything you can scan is greatly appreciated.

It has a CA-127 Line Amp Card for every channel strip, but the cards are an input transformer short of being CA-227 Mic Amp Cards.

If you look at the shot of the card rack closely, you can see on the bottom there are 2 empty slots for CA-227's.  Those were removed before I got to it.

That's too bad.
I didn't see any pictures of the guts to your 310's, just the attenuator at the top of each module.

Great eq, though.
