DIY Sound Deadening Panels
« on: October 18, 2006, 09:00:00 AM »

Hey guys,

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I've got a back room in my brooklyn apartment that I use mainly for work on music.  There is an alcove in one corner of the room that works great for a small vocal booth once I tape packing blankets up.  However, that whole process is getting to be a little tired.  What I'd like to do is design/build some panels that could serve the same purpose (and maybe even function better!).

Where is a good place to start doing some research on materials and design?  I've tried some google searches, but it's kind of tough to sort through all the commercial sites.  If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

Matt Carter
