i'm looking at picking up a pair of the m-audio solaris microphones, for stereo direct-to-disk recordings... been saving up for a pair of akg c 414b-xls, but its taking forever...

i am looking for a mic that is very neutral and unhyped (like my avensons, but with way less noise and way more flexibility).

the specs are great... 14 dbA noise figure, 3 polar patterns, +/- 1 dB across the audible range, transformer output..... and the reviews so far have been great...

any users/recommenders/dissers here?
