Can you recommend a decent and fast FFT analyzer for acoustics and speaker measurements?

Henrik,

Can I assume inexpensive is also a valuable feature? Laughing

I use ETF on my Windows computers:

www.etfacoustic.com

For Macs there's FuzzMeasure:

www.supermegaultragroovy.com/products/FuzzMeasure/

There are others. I recall Fran says he uses the TEF system and maybe Smaart too?

Hey Henrick,

In live sound and professional acoustics you have three major choices:

TEF
Meyersound SIM 3
SIA SMAART

If you are doing speaker measurements, there are other products more suited:

Praxis
WinMLS

Come to mind.  I can talk more about all of these if I had a better sense of what you are trying to do.  Please explain the application.

It should be noted for the anal out there that technically not all of these are dual channel FFT analyzers.  TEF is not, neither is winMLS.  Praxis can be both, or neither.

Thanks!

Good advice from all of the above...

Yes we use TEF and Smaart..

Praxis is a very powerful package and will work without dedicated hardware although they do have a driver for the TEF 25 I believe.

WinMLS and ETF are also both very nice programs.
