ANY good books or movies
« on: August 23, 2006, 06:10:31 PM »

Has anyone ready any good books or seen a good movie lately? My girlfriend and I saw all the major summer blockbusters and we found all of them to be mediocre at best...

I'd like to suggest three films I thought were great.

1. Thank You For Smoking
2. Who Killed The Electric Car
3. Cars was a good story with good acting.  The animation was nothing less than jaw-dropping.

Transamerica

You will not take your eyes off Felicity Huffman.
Acting to the ninth power. She is not only a
beautiful woman playing a dude playing a trans-
gender role, she raised the bar as far as making
that look like a real person who has total compassion
for humanity in general in spite of his/her dealing
with the world's views of him/her.
Incredible movie, funny.
You'll watch it even if it gets a bit difficult to watch.
That's what makes it great.
