AKG 408 on acoustic bass?
« on: August 24, 2006, 11:29:40 AM »

Anyone tried this mic as an acoustic bass mic? I've got one that's been sitting in the mic closet ever since I quit trying to get anything useable from under the snare...

I'm gonna be at the studio in about an hour and will try it, but I thought I'd bring it up for general discusion.

You mean when everything was in black and white?

408, 409, 609, whatever it takes!

Yep - it was pretty black and white... Other than a send for reverbs, I've never gotten anything out of an under-snare mic...
