Hi Ged,

I have a few M/S templates of my own, but curious to see how you went about yours. Any chance, I can get a whiff of that template.

I have Sequioa and Samplitude, both v7's

Yes bud.
This is a conversation regarding Mid/Side templates.

And no, I don't seem to have any templates for SX and Nuendo. Although, a plugin by Voxengo MSD could be a easy way out for some.

Mine on the other hand is a Sequioa template, a rather elaborate one at that, which also requires the Powercore/UAD/Liquid Mix/PSP and Algorithmix plugins.

Saying that, you don't need to have something as complicated etc... Simple moves can be just the ticket at times, Or most times..

Cheers,
KAyo

Why does one need a 'template' for M/S in Samp/Seq? Do you mean it's a processing chain you like? Getting M/S in Samp/Seq is essentially as easy as selecting it from a drop down menu...

Yes Brad,
It's a processing chain, with a prefered set of plugs etc...

Cheers Bud.

You're not going to find an MS template complete with "preferred" plugs. But you can very easily set up Samp/Seq to do MS and then pick whatever plugs you want/need for the M channel and the S channel. Just like Brad said, go to the Pan dialog and select the preset for the Mid chnl and the preset for the Side chnl...

My track notes are going to be extremely amusing this time. The most important tool I used was a thin fourteen inch stick...  Laughing
