BLUE RAY DISCS
« on: July 30, 2006, 02:01:07 PM »

I was just reading an E-mail/promotion for TDK's 25 GB blue ray media. I read nothing about compatibility. Are these usable  for red book and data CD's ?

man I would avoid this format for a while.

with the debate still hot between blue-ray and HD-DVD...I would be worried about investing in a format that may be here today, gone tomorrow.

where were you when...
jaz drives
zip drives
tape drives
3.5" floppy drives
5.25" floppy drives
fat32
fat16
minidisc
etc...

Don't forget Castlewoods "Orb drive" I still occasionally use my 10 GB Orb
What I meant was is blue ray compatable with the present drives. The ad seemed to imply that it is.
