« on: July 10, 2006, 06:37:16 PM »

Looking for a pro software to author and burn DVD Universal disc's these are the same as the Classic Records DAD's if someone is familiar with them, they will play on any stand alone DVD player and they will play at 24/96
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what you mean by "DVD Universal Disc's", or if there is anything special about Classic Records DAD discs...

...but if you simply want to create a standard DVD video disc that will play "audio only" pcm tracks at 24/96 you can do it easily with either:

DVDLab Pro by Mediachance

example of creating an audio only DVD

or DVD Architect by Sony

Both are excellent programs for DVD authoring, but are PC only. I think DVD Architect is only available in a bundle with Sony Vegas (which is an amazing program for video editing),

The "audio only" DVD's that you can create are playable in any standard DVD player and will play at 24/96 (including digital output to an external DAC) if the playback unit supports it.

Something to consider when doing this is that there is no copy protection when authoring DVD's this way, so any audio can easily be ripped and demuxed from the dummy video track.
