mine is basically the same i just do it all in excell and i have my studios logo in there and few other things like a legal paragraph i ripped from blackwood.

the excel spreadsheet does all the math for me so i can just punch in all the numbers and hit print.

i always print on 25lb paper so it's a little heavier and more official feeling.

Hey, why don't you print on 28lb paper, so it will feel even more official? Wink

Cheers,

Tomas Danko

Ps. Now I finally know howcome some people don't pay up to me, I print on cheap xerox paper. How stupid of me. *doh*

I'm so official that I print on 110lb. cardstock. Plus I have mine notarized with return receipt requested. I'm officially retarded...or just still drunk from last night.

Hi David,

In case no one has mentioned it yet there is a site that sells music business legal forms individually or in packages.  For instance you can get an 'engineer for hire' contract for only $16 :
http://www.musiclegalforms.com/catalog.html

Best of luck!

I'm not going to lie...Quickbooks might be the best thing since the PDF.  Mostly because I put together the invoice in QB and have it spit out a PDF that I can email.  I've yet to run into an issue with it...other than a few clients who are somewhat technologically retarded.

the labels i've worked for thus far require a hard copy of the invoice.  i've told the accounting guy to simply push print, but that didn't fly so well.

i have no experience with quick books, but i'm kind of weird about how my invoices look.  i want everything that leaves the door to look very pro, and to be exactly how i want it.
