I would like to hear a Weiss digital eq one day. It would maybe dispell the feeling that it could not sound as good as the best advances in plug in DSP eq's.

Ditto - its always been one of those products that I have wanted to hear... surely for the massive price of them there must be some aural wow factor to it!!

I recognize that sentiment..
Always yearned to listen to all the Weiss devices myself. Fortunately, for me .. I went to the SMPTE show here in Sydney, and came across a booth with the Weiss, Cranesong and Manley stuff. Had a listen via headphones on a noisy floor, as I remember, the ADAMs speaker stand was close by too. Nonetheless, even in those circumstances, I found the Weiss stuff profoundly beautiful, compared to many others since.. It had this wonderful bite to it.. hard to explain. The only plug, I found that somewhat in my mind reminds me of or reminiscences of that Weiss feeling was, with the Powercore TC Dynamic EQ plug. In many ways, it brings about the same feeling.

Anyway, try an audio or media convention.. and you may come across the Weiss through an audio agent etc..

Ciao'

The recall functionality of the Gambit units is highly underrated as well.  Analog ergonomics + plugin-style convenience, I would retrofit every one of my processors to work this way if I could.

Here, here ..
I whole heartedly agree. Though, that is one of those Weiss devices, I’ve never heard. It does have great ergonomics, I bet.
Would love to own one of those. Discontinued sure, but what does or did it cost, I wonder?
