maxim is like L2 but it's free with your initial PT purchase. i lower the threshold to just above the mix level to bump the level up. an occasional kick hit will go past the threshold into gain reduction. i make sure there is never more then 1 db of GR so the mix is simply louder, not compressed/limited.

Cool track, guys
Somehow I feel it's not as tight as it could've been, though. I can't pinpoint the exact problem, but it might be the drums. Or the drummer, rather. The track doesn't feels as fluid as it should.
Maybe that's what Telejeff meant? Just a guess...
But, again, way cool song.

Nice job, j. My only significant complaints would be that I'd like to hear the snare slam a bit more, and I'd like to hear the guitar lead come up a dB or two.
Then again, I'm listening to an mp3 on crappy headphones, so what do I know?

J,
check out Steve Massey's stuff.
www.masseyplugins.com
he's got an $89 limiter that will make you throw maxim away.

Can't remember if PT supports AU format plugs... if so, check this one out too... it's freeware, but pretty decent... It's a multiband comp with brick wall limiting.
