Just used D Verb tonight.  Gotta say, it's up there with the Alesis.

I'll see all of you, and raise you one Tapco Spring reverb.

the Pioneer stereo reverb unit I had was the worst piece of crap ever.

Do you mean the brownish, tabletop unit with the groovy cylindrical display?

I have one of those and find it to be a one trick pony - off.

I have a Rev 7 and only use it for the Flanged Reverb patch.Other than that it sucks. The Yamaha R1000 also sucks.

Ewww... the rev 7 definately has to be one of the worst units I have ever heard. R1000 is a horrible sounding unit as well. I don't know why but we have them in our live sound racks at work and I never power them up. I couldn't imagine trying to use these turd pieces for recording.

I think i own the worst!

Art FXR, i kind of like this Art and the user interface is clever, just input with over leds, blend, 16 types of Fx, and 16 alterations.....

.... but it?s probably 6 bit and noisy as an untuned radio.
I tried to sell it once for 20 us once but no one bidded:)

I think i?ll hook it up again and get another door stop, it sure is a unique unit and it can be fun to use for Low-fi operations, maby it clips nice? i?ll have to try:)

Plug Ins doesn't count?
I made a comparison with the altiverb L480  large hall and the original.

Its hard to take how bad the plug in sounds...

Don´t wanna be the smart ass here but one have to say that it for sure depends for what purpose a unit is used, right? If you wanna use the Rev7 as your main axe for a natural sounding room on your vocals, well.. good luck... but what should be wrong with using this unit for a synths theme giving it a little life and depth?
Lexicon PCM8..9.. can be great on guitars, some plug-ins may work for percussion... I never use any reverbs on drum though and almost always the 480L for vocals, cannot understand how one could find that one bad..

cheers
