when the script does not autostart, there is alway the "save-as" option with a mouse click. (right mouse button in windows, but some extra keypress for mac as I remember)

tried it, no luck, perhaps a network problem?

my browser has an option to "open link in new page" and then I'm in medias res with the sound file (whatever has been programmed for the file-type eg. start a player), or it receives a html file that tells an error message, or I get a time-out like "server did not respond".
but I could download this file.

i deleted that copy and downloaded a replacement. the most noticeable click was gone. so the problem isn't the source file.

I downloaded ATOR's file no problem.

Gerald, I had a little time to kill today and did a quick master myself. Don't know what the rules are, or if it's not appropriate for me to send a version as I didn't sign up to this project, but I heard the tune and love cowboy songs so I figured I'd do a master. Well, I was definitely too quick of the mark on this one.  I went to dinner after I posted mine (mistake#1), came back to the studio, put on some Alison Krauss (should have been referencing that earlier...mistake #2), then listened to mine again...CRAP!  I didn't like it much at all!

So, with great humility, I would like to submit my second version.  I should not have let the first one go.  Stupid mistake on my part.  I wont delete the link to the first one, since that was my official submission.

I have already learned a great deal from this round.  For me at least, take a break before committing to a finished product.

So, FWIW here is my second attempt...

my first attempt really sucked. so if i have time i'll try again.
...very disappointed in myself, but wump is also an opportunity to run science experiments.  i've learned a lot here so far.
