I was curious to know if any of the pros here have auditioned these, and if you think they'd make good mastering monitors?

As always, thank you in advance for your replies,

I've heard them in several rooms over the years (though never mastered on them) and always walked away thinking they imaged artificially wide. Some people love them, though...

I've been using them for 10 years and have been extremely happy with the results.

They tend to ruthlessly reflect whatever is feeding them. I've heard opinions wander all over the map to the point that you wouldn't know people were talking about the same speaker. They are tonally very very neutral. The right Eq. pops right into focus yet it's blatantly obvious when the right eq. is little or no eq. I find them to be a remarkable microscope. They make it easy to get tone right and really let you know about any problems.

Thanks Bob.

BoB? would you mind telling us your room size, and what type of amplification you are using?

Brad? Couldn't this image issue be caused by wrong positioning?

Of course. I've only heard them in mastering rooms and everything else was fine, just curious that in at least three different mastering rooms the same issue was present.

Don't get me wrong, I could easily master with them, just might take some getting used to for translation. They are good speakers.
