A sobering reminder: shouldn't work when sick
« on: May 03, 2006, 12:10:24 AM »

Last month, a hay fever attack developed into a sinus infection.  Under pressure to meet a couple of deadlines I worked on an EP before taking a day or two off.

Got a call for a revision on this.  Loaded it up and I can see why …  Embarassed

A sobering reminder never to work on anything other than administrative stuff with blocked sinuses or the flu.

Kind regards,
Paul Blakey

Just got over a head cold and tonsilitis, aggravated by an allergy (an air freshener in the car). After not being able to hear well for a week, I'm very grateful for my hearing, a reminder to take extra care.

One strange thing- maybe it's because of having a break, but while my head was plugged, everything was dark and distant sounding, but I became acutely aware of certain swishy phasing sounds. Now that I'm well I'm paying more attention to phasing and sibilance- boy there is a lot of it on the radio (and in my drum overheads so better not cast stones).
