My cat seems to have better ears than I do. Whenever I'm working on a mix, she likes to climb up and lie on one of the monitors (she seems to prefer the left one).
Once in a while, something will seem to annoy her and she'll climb down. It's usually when something is out of balace or overly eq'd or proccessed.
Inevitably, once I get the mix together, she resumes her place on the speaker cabinet and stays until the end of the session (or until I break for lunch).
And no, I can't say that I've noticed my stereo image leaning to the left to compensate for any high frequency absorption that she may supply.
I don't know what I'll do if I am ever without my mixes' most insightful critic!!

My dearly departed Bailey went to kitty heaven last monday. He succumbed to aenemia induced heart failure.

Here he is three years ago between takes before I moved the studio out of the house.

I'm sorry to hear that - I know how hard it can be. I lost my cat of nine-plus years in January and it was far more difficult to deal with than I ever anticipated...

So sorry.
Fur-Children reset your settings, and cause image-shift due to asymmetric absorption, but we love the hell out of them, anyway.

Are you sure? I think he's sending a reverb return over to track 1 on the bus assigns with his rear left paw.=) He's sayin: "print your effects"

See? ..I know how they think. He looks like he's just waiting for you to turn around so he can do it too. A quick flick of the fetlock there and it will be "his way". You better check the last 5 years of tracks. I bet you got 'verb n delays everywhere!

Ditto, close the door.  Cat hair could be uninviting to clients.  So could vaseline and cayenne pepper.

Yes I had a client just the other day and she told me" no baseline or Cayenne pepper on my pussy"
