Hi guys.

I'm sick of trying to make BFD sound real.

Can you guys recommend a great online session guy.

Thanks much.

Are you trying to program beats or are you playing with a V-drum?

I think if played and then just move the cybols and snares around here and there to change the tones, they sound great when played via midi. I do think they need more snares though. The BFD snares tend to sound to tight and boxy for all songs. I like a more loose and flammy or crunchy snare for electronic breaks. They are great on most rock and pop tracks though. I have only used the original and 8 bit kits. I need to check out the XL and jazz.

My buddy is a great drummer and could send you midi files played from his TD6. That way you can still change sounds and the mix,. If you've already tried this,I am sorry If I missed the point.

Wow.

That stuff sounds great.

You get a really good drum sound and you (as a drummer) kick ass.

If I were you, I would pursue doing this "online drums for hire" thing fulltime.

Hell, I'm so busy, I'll probably hire you.

Could you give some info on how you get such good drum tones?

Room? Mics? Pres? Compressors? etc.

Thanks

Very nice archtop.   I heard the stuff you posted a while back and it rocked.  Any info on your setup?
I'm gonna PM ya cuz I got a couple gigs for ya.  Same rate as you charged Benny, I assume?  I was looking for something along the lines of what you did for Irwin.  Check your PM's and get back at me

. . . . . A word of caution.  If you work for Kenny, don't bend down to adjust your kick drum mic. Have someone else do it.

There's a reason. No need to ask.  Just do as I say.

Trust me

That is some tasty pudding, indeed. You can't do that with
loops.

Coming from you, a great producer/engineer/drummer with a proven track record,
gold records AND a great sounding drum sample CD for sale,

I am very honored to have you say this about my drum sound.

Thank you.

Thank You all.

I listened to "short drum clip".
Maybe it was a different clip that the others heard?

Tough crowd, indeed.  Confused

Sounded alright to me.  I'll give you 2 pts for courage...

Don't ask me though, I'm one of the guys who needs to hire a session drummer, not one of the session drummers who needs to be hired...

Oh, I don't know. You're better on a kit than I would be! No question there. And I'll also give you points for posting it besides.

But session drummer? Not yet.

Having been hired for drum track, with happy customers, makes you wrong.

You might not like me, and that's fine.

Let's just keep it accurate.
