There was a bit of simple logic, and some evil genius in the floor plan of the live room. No surface is faced directly to any other surface. 95% diffuse.

It works. With a 57 aimed 120

Is that what you were asking?

Yes.  That 'splains it!

A different question.
How close are those Adam's to the wall behind them?

The wall that you see is a false wall/trapping wall so in essence the Adams are sitting about 2 feet off the "hard wall" and 6-12" off of the trap wall. We tried them  out a little farther but lost something and moved them around for a while until they found their spot. It took about 2 hours to locate where they were happy which is a heck of a lot quicker than the old scenario where it took three days plus.

Those walls are AWESOME, they just look so "fun", and the whole CR is looking great!

I guess my question is - how did you find a house with a basement in Savannah??

It's not a house and it's not in a basement.

There are plenty of places with basements here but not like in the north country where they are needed due to the frost line.

Time to mix some jazz.

Wow!!!

judging by the pictures and jovial mood (and of course, y'alls kick-ass room design) me thinks i should start renovating my place too.

What difference is there between the low-end and broadband absorbers?

Also, in the 'CRFrontwall' pic I noticed the acoustic material (703s?) look different in the middle than on the "sides" of the front wall. Is there an actual difference?

The deep bass traps are Ethan Winer style diaphragm traps and the broadband absorbers are merely fiberglass stuffed behing peg board.

The center of the CR wall had 703 (1.5") mounted 4" from the solid wall and was covered in peg board, the sides were 3" heavy rockwool cut tight to the studs for bass trapping in the corners and were covered by screen and then fabric..

No new pics yet 'cause we've been working.

Last night we tracked a great drummer and for the first time I got to hear the room as it was intended. The plan was to replace a drummer from Saturdays session who wasn't cutting it and surprise the client with the results when we sent in the new guitars, keys and steel so it was a quick setup and track...

We added two Bova Ball room mics to the equation, and went with the setup from Saturday. OMFG it was night and day, the room was speaking to us and the best thing besides Miles' "Holy shit" was the drummer coming back in after playback and saying "that's the way I hear it when I'm playing, and it's so natural." Anywho, we've got some wiring issues to deal with and once those are straight we're firing on all cylanders again.

More pics soon.

I don't think so. I drink 'em but here in Georgia they aren't the same.

I'd guess it's an Amstel light.
