Here's a similar view as one of the "before" shots of the tracking room. Amp iso room on it's way. no blood red walls and a major lack of ceiling tiles.

Is that a M&M bag or does /0 have a partially eaten chocolate male member trapped under his tenny runners?
I don't know how much progress you'll make Fibes with Miles Pussy footing around all the time!

Are you guys going to leave the cement block wall bare? It might be nice to have a reflective wall behind drum kits? I dunno.. I'm asking... I can't help but notice that Albini's fav drum room is almost 100% cement blocks. And IIRC the famous "loading bay" at Little Mountain Sound was cement block as well....
You can always have a curtain to pull across it for damping when required...
Anyway, Maybe it's just envy on my part.. my shop is in a wooden structure...

I don't recall that Electrical had any exposed cement block. Tons of exposed Adobe walls though.
Big difference between the two I believe.
(edit) and as soon as i open my big hands and start typing, i go to the electrical site... lo and behold, there is some exposed cement block in the studio b liveroom. my bad.

Are you guys going to leave the cement block wall bare?..
Not wholly.
The plan is to cover the wall behind the drums with maple plywood with holes drilled in it and stuffed with 703. A sort of bass trap that will also be angled to get rid of the flutter off of the control room window directly across from it. We may not do anything if there isn't a problem.
This is all done on an as needed basis.
The side of the room the photo is taken from is the real PITA.
A can of worms writhing in dog poop...

Ahh .. Plywood and drums... is there any better combo? I think not.
This is one of our projects if we ever get around to it... building a removable unpainted plywood floor under the drums for resonance....

This is why my renovation has been ongoing for three years.... Always another tweak...

I just woke up about 5 hours early.
Here's an out of scale kind of what it looks like. The blue walls are 703/fabric, and the orange walls are 3 ply solid maple.
The red stripes are metal trusses.Truss depth like 22" (?) truss to floor around 8'4".
This pic is kind of like Barbie; you get an overall idea of the shape, but upon most inspections, you'll find many features missing.

Thanks Miles it helps to have a birds eye view.
I absolutely LOVE what you have done with the drapes!
Just kidding.
I really do love the layout! Friggin genius! I may have to steal this design at some date in the future....
