Hi folks.
I have just got my OCL2 and I have some questions...
a)At PRESET MODE, the unit provides "6 attack/release settings which are ideal for program compression. The presets are identical to those found on the classical Fairchild 670 limiter. The first 4 presets offer a selection of fixed attack and release times, with the release times indicated on the dial markings. Presets 5 and 6 are program ependet release times..."
a) I have never used a Fairchild, so.. which are the preset attack times on this four first presets?
b)I was wondering why do the inputs and outputs are 3 pin unbalanced? Are they trying to avoid possible ground looping problem?
c)In your daily mastering tasks, employing the OCL2 as the only compressor in the chain... Have you guys ever used the FAST MODE, where it is said to be "used" also for tight program compression, whenever you do not want to hear the unit working.
d)When moving the Output gain, sometimes I listen to a very low noise. Ok, my unit was purchased with one year of usage. It could be that.
Thanks to all and nice 2007.
