Ive got all the answers  Very Happy  but i still cant cut a decent record.

I can never tell if your questions are serious or not. Not so much because of the question but more because of the replies. It's not a bad question implied here but, it went no where for some reason.

In short, a person can know a lot of stuff but it has to be applied to what you are doing. What you are doing is using your ear's to make stuff sound good. Understanding theory and all is only going to make us better at what we do but in the end, we need to use that understanding to to make a record sound like a record.

A guy can know the technical implications of plugging in an EQ and still wreck the audio. Just keep trying. Work slower and stop to listen to great recording's along the way. If there's some rule that says "using that much compression is generally wrong" or " Putting that mic right there probably wont work". We need to listen to whether or not that rule applies in any given case and be ready to break the rule to make the audio sound good..

All that matters is the audio sounding good in the end. Answering questions on a test or a quiz wont make it sound good.

Trust your ear's more than you trust anything else.
