NS-10M Woofers have seams?

Hello to all!

I got an older pair of Yamaha NS-10M speakers.  The woofers each have a seam that goes from the center of the cone, straight to the edge.  They sound fine to me. Did the woofers in some of the early versions of these monitors have seams?

Mine do, and as far as I know, all NS-10 woofers have seams which are in the opposite direction from the voice coil leads...
