The standard of success in life isn't the things. It isn't the money or the stuff. It is absolutely the amount of joy that you feel.

  • What 500-series mic pre works best as a door stop?

I'm stunned.
A gracious and talented engineer. Very unfortunate.

Yes, I just found out, too, Ross.  So sorry for all of us to lose such a talented and wonderful guy.  Absolutely shocked.  The problem with getting old is stuff like this.  He was a really, really nice guy and a talent, as well.  Very, very sad for his family and friends.

Only met him on a few occasions, but enough to see the good guy he was... Far too young

Words fail ...  My condolences, Ross .. and to those that knew him well.

Holy shit.  Tal replaced me in Beth Hart's band, after I quit.  He was so young!  That's insane.  My condolences to his family.

My first post here will be in honor of my longtime friend and former band-mate. I played drums in Midas Well with Jimmy Khoury on guitars and Tal Herzberg on bass. We were fortunate to do all of our recordings at The Record Plant and we got to play at The Whiskey, The Troubador, The Central, CBGB's, Don Hill's, and many other cool spots. Most of the gigs were recorded on videotape and I am starting to organize them so I can post on YouTube and show the world how great of a bass player Tal was in addition to his engineering.
I learned so much from Tal musically and personally and he will be missed dearly.

Here is a link to the first song we played at our very first gig together at The Central.
