Lip syncing makes me sick
« on: February 05, 2006, 11:33:40 PM »

I was watching a show the other day and every band that was up there was miming. Its total bullshit. Not just lyrics but everything.  I mean these idiots get up there and jump around to the tracks on there album and no 1 seems to give a crap.

It would be better if they threw up the film clip instead of this nonsense.

What ever happened to a bands ability to sound better live than in the studio.

Thin Lizzy comes to mind.

So a band gets a call to go on a show to do x song.

20 years ago that meant practice practice until the song is flawless and 2nd nature. When it comes to the crunch at gig time its do or die. But when the practice is put in then it turns out to be an awesome performance.

The way its done now every idiot can shine thanks to the album.

Back in the day if you couldnt cut it live you were called a bunny.
