I read that Rock Around the Clock was an afterthought at the session- supposed to be the B side of 13 Women. They had a fe wminutes left after Thirteen Women was done so Rock around the Clock was 1 take. Also, the bassline in that is important- it is a major scale, not 1-3-4-flat5-5, etc. , which is different against the blues progression. Great tune. Great guitar solo too, which I think is the same solo from an earlier Bill Haley tune (Rock this Joint I think it was called? I had it on a long lost compilation)
