I have a 1006, which is the same mic.   You might also see it called a V63.

I'm just a hobbyist/home studio guy, and it's my only large capsule condenser right now. At some point (soon, I hope) I'll get something better, but for now this does the job. I haven't used anything better, so I can't tell you how it compares.   But it's been reliable for me and sounds pretty good to my ears.  And did I mention it was cheap?!  Smile

I use it primarily for vocals, but also with a 603s in a two-mic configuration for acoustic guitar.

I used it once in a carpet tunnel as a kick drum mic... worked surprisingly well!

You can listen to my tracks if you want to hear it in action, in my awful home studio/dog room/office...  Embarassed
