Need headset vocal mic

Can anyone recommend a good quality headset vocal mic, non phantom, no headphones, non-radio-controlled, with a cable to 3 prong XLR output?

I sing and play acoustic guitar accompaniment to my voice while sitting down. It's gentle folk music so I do not sing loud and don't like having my head stuck in one place like when you sing into a regular mic. Don't need radio send and receive cuz my bod stays sat. My mixer has phantom power but my partner's vocal mic isn't phantom and neither is my guitar mic (I like it miked thank you v much) and can't have both kinds of mics at once.

All of the headset mics I know of are phantom powered.  In general, it's not a problem to use phantom power globally even with most dynamic mics.  (Some older ribbon mics are not usable with phantom power.)  You have to be careful when you plug in that power is off or that the inputs are trimmed down so you don't feed a big pop through the system, but once everything is connected you can use both phantom powered mics and dynamics together.  The Countryman E6 mics are excellent.  They're not cheap, though.


Does anyone know of a dynamic headset mic?

I was going to say the Shure SM-10...but it appears that it's no longer made.

The dynamics I have heard, like the Shure, all sound horrible.  Phantom-powered I would go with the Crown 311 which sounds very good.  You can run it off a 9 volt battery if you prefer.

A gentle "folk" vocal is even more the reason to lean to a condenser to get the depth of your performance. For the most part, it's unlikely you have something on the stage that will be damaged by phantom power. That said, I agree that the Countryman recommendation was a great one, E6 or Isomax models (cardioid/unidirectional patterns will work in your favor against feedback).
