2nd hand mixers
« on: January 15, 2006, 12:10:34 PM »

Hi all

I am looking to buy a new mixer in the next couple of months, and have started to search the net for places that refurbish/repair consoles, like proaudioeurope.com or larkingslist.com.

I am searching for late 80´s early 90´s consle. Preferably with at least 40 channels (a 24/32 will only be concidered if I can get a REAL bargain on a high end mixer), and it has to be fully functioning with no scratching pots/faders etc. (I am replacing a Neve 5114 that has lots of bad switches/connectors etc, because I am simply not qualified nor have the time to repair it myself, and because I want to focus on music and sound, not bad pots or switches)

Any suggestions to other places I might look than the two mentioned? Preferably in the northern part of europe (England/Germany/BeNeLux). I might concider shipping a mixer from the US, but the reason I prefer northern Europe is because I want to have a chance to look at the mixer befor I decide.

Hi Lars,

check:  http://www.adt-audio.com/

Some of Germany's top mixing engineers use ADT consoles.
They have all the typical features of a big 90th console with a variaty of different eqs to choose from and lots of aux sends.
I think ADT boss Gerd J
