Home Recording
« on: January 02, 2006, 02:39:17 pm »

Steve-  i've always been curious to hear what you think about home recording.  putting aside the gentrifying effect of everyone using the same plug-ins and sub-par equipment, i've been thinking recently that the abundance of cheap music recording/releasing methods may make it easier for some segments of the population to make records, tour, and develop as musicians.
while a permanent and high-quality document of their art is what most bands would like to have, i think many musicians without the means to go to a studio are given a chance to make records and go on tour that they may not have had in the past.
any thoughts?
