Hey,
I have a home studio, where I do all of my recording (leftfield/progressive stuff). I use my sequencer to create most of my synth stuff, but i'd like to use a proper keyboard. The problem is that the one I own is older than me and, therefore, crap.

any suggestions for making it sound better?

Most of my favorite keys are older than me.

On the other hand I have a late 80's (younger than me) Peavey Synth that sounds horrible. It makes a decent contoller for Reason though--built like a tank.

Anyway, the only thing that has made even marginal improvement on the Peavey's own sounds has been bypassing the built in verbs etc. They're thin and nasty and the don't add anything.

But I still wouldn't record with it--
