I could probably bang something out if needed-- I'd have to dig someone up to play the kit though as my own skills are lacking.

I've got a few guys I can call, but you know how drummers are...

Drums by the Viking would be excellent too, no emotional investment on my part.

Cool, we're going to have an excellent foundation to build on.

I'm on it...   I have some tracks that are already printed that will work great for this.   I'm out of town until the 29th but I'll talk to my engineer back home and see if he can pull the files up and get them to J before I get back.

What is the actual gameplan for the tracks?   Are we going with a theme or just kind of improvising?   The last set of tracks we worked on there were stipulations like no beat detective or sound replacer, etc?   Are we defining rules this time?   I looked back and saw these questions asked already, I just wasn't sure if we solidified any rules of engagement here.

Thanks.

As I understand it, any and all editing of the drums is allowed this time.

If you have anything cut to a grid, that might be nice for making changes to the arrangement-- although certainly not required.

when i get the tracks i'll open on the session and convert them all down to 16bit 44.1 wavs for quicker down loads.

no arguing, that is the way it will be, it worked before and it'll work again.

let's lock down a tuning and get moving.

i was actualy hoping for the febuary, i would hate to rush my project along. although this would be great to do in between tracking and mixing.

How about some tuning suggestions folks?

I have previously put forth the following:

D A D F# A D

or,

D A D F A D

Let's see some more ideas--

I'm cool with D Minor (D A D F A D).

Dminor sounds good, but do we use the same tuning for every thing, i mean once we pick a tuning we use only that tuning right?

Yeah, I think ole Mod Hall (or is it Maude?) requested that we stick to one tuning.

I'm going to fashion a multi step capo that changes everything back to standard tuning.
