dbx ProVocal, or something else?
« on: December 07, 2005, 05:42:03 PM »

Hi guys,
I usually hang out over in Brad's mastering forum, but I'm kicking around the idea of buying something like the dbx ProVocal, and wondered if anyone had ideas on alternate pieces of kit that fit the same bill?
For those not familiar with it, you get one channel of mic/line/instrument input, 3 band parameteric eq, compression, de-essing, gating, chorus/flange/delay/reverb, 24 bit S/PDIF output, 44.1 or 48kHz, 20dB pad, and 48 volt phantom power.
Keen to hear any suggestions for competitors to this box.

Apparently, Fletcher's forum was the wrong place to post this message.
Any one got any input on this?
I've looked at the Symetrix 628 as well. But still keen to know of any other similar products that I should look at before commiting to one.
