WaveLab and Plextor?
« on: February 06, 2006, 03:35:50 PM »

As as I sit on Steinberg's hold line, maybe someone here can help.  I just took out the stock CD Burner in my machine and put in a Plextor 716A..  Wavelab just doesn't like it, it won't recognize it.  Every other CD Burning app such as Roxio Easy Creator is fine with it, the computer says the drive is working properly, but Wavelab just won't let it happen.  Any ideas?  Wavelab had no problem with the stock CD Burner.

There is a problem that many have stated when you have Roxio and Wavelab on the same computer. Go to Cubase.net under Wavelab and do a search. For some reason Roxio (which is the problem) does things in the background which cause problems for Wavelab. You should not have both programs on the same computer. Not only do you have to uninstall Roxio, but a couple of other checks to get it out of the directory.

Thanks.  Do you know any of the additional directory checks?
