A Request
« on: November 27, 2005, 06:32:52 PM »

Hey all,,

I find myself in a bummer situation regarding these test files. My CD drive is shot on this imac and I'm running OS 9.1.??. I have no I tunes and my old old version of PT Free I have on this thing for messin' around wont open the files. So I ask the following.

A.. can someone send me an app. that will open these files?

B. can someone do a sample rate conversion so I can at least hear them.

C. Anything else someone can think of.

I know it's a lot to ask. I just never deal with 96-k files and use this computer for the net only..

Thanks for any thoughts or ideas you might have.

You could go to versiontracker.com and get the demo for barbabatch for OS9.

You should put the 16/44.1 versions up or available in case anyone wants to burn a CD of the files - this will keep the SRC consistent (and pro).

Thanks guys very much. I'll look in my box Bill. Yu' da' man'..

Can't wait to hear them.

Ivan...............

EDIT: 24 or 16 is fine. Might as well keep it 24 44.1. But 16 is fine.

Yes, I know that this conversion can and will change things a bit but, It will give some idea.. When I comment on the files, folks can keep in mind that what I heard were in fact different files. But, on the other hand, when I do conversions like this, the bottom octave seems to survive so,, we'll see.

Thanks again.

They'll play in quicktime. No patches or anything..just open the file and it plays.
