I have an Echolette ED12/200 that sounds thin. Before I start investing in vintage replacement parts, I want to make sure it is correctly wired.
Right now, the wiring (on the XLR that was probably retrofitted by a previous owner) is like this:
- pin 1: grounding braid, red & a bridge to pin 2
- pin 2: only the bridge to pin 1
- pin 3: white & yellow

Supposing AKG were consistent in their use of colors, is this wiring scheme correct?
