Title: u67 dc filter
Post by: icemac on March 14, 2017, 04:26:23 pm
Been so long since I was here, I forgot my login and had to start a new account!

I've removed the S2's from my u67's some time ago, and prefer it this way as they sound 'better' and are more versatile on many sources.

However the wide open response down to dc, or close to it, can be problematic at times for following electronics.
I have long wondered if i can incorporate a dc filter into the mic, that is not as disruptive as the S2 especially in regards to phase.

Or would there be no advantage over a filter coming after the mic?
