Title: Hear vs. Aviom Headphone systems -- discuss
Post by: saara on August 12, 2017, 02:28:50 PM
I see the Hear Technologies Hearback system around a lot and it does the trick, though not too cheaply. The other one I often see is Aviom, which has a slightly better build quality but is even more expensive.

Hi Saara -- welcome to the group.

FWIW, I've tried both and found the Aviom to have a bit less latency which seems to make the musicians a bit more comfortable.  That said... running analog lines and using little Mackie [Behringer - etc.] analog mixers is really the best solution.  While the latency is pretty small [a few samples], at the end of the day I've found it can mean the difference between a musician sitting solidly in the "pocket" or sitting a bit outside [making the end performance less than it could have been].

I hope this is of some assistance.

Peace
