MCI JH24 diode for remote
« on: November 02, 2005, 05:02:20 PM »

ok here we go again,

One of my diodes on the remote to my (now working, thanks everyone!) JH24 is dead and the specific channel is in tape mode all the time eg the switches don't work. If I read the volt between the legs I get 24volt on the broken one and 1,9 on the working ones.

To my surprise the schematics to the remote is not in the manual so I need your help. What kind of diodes shall I buy? Or can it be something else that's wrong? there is not much on the remote but some diodes and some resistors.

I tried switching cables from the remote and the problem is transferred so it's not the JH24 itself that's seems to be broken.

As always, thank you in advance! you are truly great!

/Philip

ok I solved the problem myself (!)

I just replaced the green diode with another one, I didn't realise that they had a function except being informative.
