Are there any opinions? Please do not start the usual oh that is a crap,etc. Need to be very low budget now. Is it good or bad? Rather focusrite octopre?

I'd take the Onyx over anything in the Focusrite platinum series any day of the week. The pre's in the Onyx are decent quality - I wouldn't say the same of the Focusrite.
