M.sync = wordclock ?
« on: August 31, 2005, 07:19:02 AM »

Forgive me for my ignorance...

I just purchase my ad824, and getting confused about the unit's clock...

Besides as my primary AD converter, I imagine that ad824 can act as my system master clock... So I replace my old master clock generator out w/ m.sync clock out.

But hey.. why there's no lock/handshake (for lacks of better words) when I connect m.sync clock out to my daw WC in?

Is this lavry clock not an ordinary type of wordclock?

or the dealer forget to connect the clock connection inside the unit? I don't dare to open the unit since it's brand new...

Please enlighten me, I bet you guys are more familiar with this unit than me..

Thanks in advance.

There is a wordclock signal coming out of the rear BNC clock out. My guess is that if it is not working, it is due to the receiver (of whatever rear you want to lock) not set to accept an external word clock. It is possible that something is broken. You can contact us directly and we will help you figure it out.
