MOTU + M-Audio + my 550mhz powerbook
« on: August 11, 2005, 08:10:45 PM »

i've decided my 550mhz powerbook plus $1000 is going to record some various demos in my basement.
i've got MOTU's "digital performer" 4.5, and i'm considering what interface and monitors to go with.
being that i don't ever plan on recording more than 4-5 tracks at once, i was thinking about the M-Audio 410 interface. anybody got a better suggestion or a price-to-value opinion of it's competitors?
i hear that that 410 interface can power your monitors, but i'm not sure...
was considering buying active monitors like the M-audio DX4's or the Roland DM10 or the Edirol MA-15D's. opinions on how to go with that?
