Reason 2.5 problem
« on: June 05, 2005, 09:33:35 AM »

Hey everyone!

I just started working with reason 2.5, it's a pretty cool tool, but i'm already confused.

I was able to create a drum pattern, but what i don't know how to do is: how can i have one pattern play for the first 10 measurse and then switch to another pattern? so that i don't have a loop of the same beat over and over again!

Thanks for your help!

like ms70 said..

1. for starters: programm 2 patterns (A1, A2.. something like this)..

2. then klick on the button on the topleft in the SEQUENCERWINDOW (not the Rack..)(switching between edit/playmodus).

3. klick on the drummachinetrack

4. maybe you have to activate the drumlinebar (it's the yellowbutton with 4 yellowlines on it)

5. then klick on the drawer (the little pen)

6. now you can choose in the drumtrack/drumlinebar from A1 to D8, activate the one you need and draw it on the yellowbar..

now it should work!

try opening a demosound a take a look how they did that!

cheers

Propellerhead sells a cd rom tutorial that shows how to use
the sequencer to change drum patterns.  It's easy once you see the tutorial.  It also shows how to use the other modules.

Get it from their site. Smile

thanks guys for your help!

I got one more question:

After i created a drum pattern, and after i created a second one, how can i go back and edit the first one?

Like i have the one drum pattern in the timeline, and I want to edit it, but neither double clicking nor anything else gets me back to the pattern!

I'm not sure if my question makes sense, but i hope someone can help me!

Thanks you!

please do the introduction video like thedoc said..Smile

you can easily change patterns by clicking in the Redrum on A and the number.. in this case A & 1 or A&2

ok?
