So I have always shrugged off Waves RComp (after have using UAD-1 and the DigiPhish stuff), but the other day I was trying to tone down a snares' attack and I was like "hey Rcomp tones down everything in a bad way" so I gave it a shot. Well by lowering the attack down I nearly completely lost the attck. And that was on 1:1 without adjusting the threshold.
So after adusting the attack and all I had just the body of the snare and it was great to add to the main track to help add depth with a little bit of verb.
So anyway I am by no means saying Rverb is good, but for someone with out a Transient Designer (like me) its a neat tool for snare. Outside of that I really don't care for it except on bass once in a great while.
Just though I would share.
