Fan

I recently purchased 8 channels of the M-AD-24 Lavry Blue series converters.  I was wondering if I could disconnect the fan in the unit without causing any damage.  I have a small project room that I will be tracking in.  If I can not disconnect it is there a "silent" version of the fan that I could replace it with?

This is the lowest noise fan I could find but I have been shipping the units with the fan disconnected.

The reason for the fan - I wanted to be sure that one can use the chassis in some real hot environment (with a lot of hot gear). It turns out that hardly anyone does that, so we disconnect the fan connector before shipping.

I had purchased the unit 2nd hand.  Apparently the previous owner had reconnected the fan.  I am going to disconnected it the first chance I get.  Thanks for the help.
