Selected sections of the famous german BraunBuch, describing details about many of the now-legendary units..:

A very, very interesting resource indeed!

Hello Jakob,

thanks for the link, I was not aware of the IRT efforts these days. But it is quite funny that in the last 5 years german companies and institutions try to relive the good old glory of the peak times of their product palette, that they threw out and away it in the first place due to the outdated nature to make room for better, bigger, brighter developments makes it even funnier.
What is displayed there is just a scrap of the info that was once available, the entire Braunbuch (there is also the pre and post war version), was over 14 volumes with 200 plus pages for each book...

Just as a historical reminder, "Braunbuch" what means "Brownbook" was called that way with refference to the politcal color of choice durring that time, that was not a choice in the first place, after WWII the name was not changed like so many other things and thoughts. The east german broadcast network changed the name as the color of the book to blue...

Not just the IRT or the related radio stations look back to theses days, even the former big and glorious german manufacturing companies that today only exist as expired trade names...
