8-Channel Mic Pres?

Does anyone have a recommendation for an 8-channel mic pre to bu for a project studio? I've had my eyes on the TRUE Precision 8 but it is a little to expensive for me right now. I looked a unit by RME that is supposed to be a descrete class-a unit. Does anyone know about it? Any input would be usefull. Thanks!

I do like the Precision 8--have used it for many projects over the years we've had it, and always like the results. I have Fearn, Demeter, and Great River also, but the True is no slouch.

Check out the Seventh Circle Audio stuff...mix and match any of three great pre's in one 8 space rack. I don't have any yet, but I hear they're really good.

Well, for the money...I'm enjoying the use I get out of the M-Audio Octane. Cheesy name, but for $489 I can bypass the terrible pres in the Digi002Rack and that is worth every penny
