Off we go...
« on: October 28, 2004, 07:30:41 AM »

OK, flying out this AM to AES, so I will be a little more scarce than normal, I assume (stop cheering). I'm taking my laptop to check up on stuff (including here), so is there anything I should look at in particular?

I'll give updates when available or if I see anything cool/uncool...

YES!!!!!

Brad rules.

The Nautilus Commander.  It's an analog summer but also a high-quality mastering hub, with a master serial effects loop, and an a/b comparison setup where you can switch back and forth to compare your mix to a finished cd (it has something called loudness matching or something like that...I can't get my head around it quite yet).

It also has vu metering with range controls and some other stuff.

This looks perfect for me, because I want to focus on mastering, but also  do occasional radio/tv production music, so i could use the inputs to do summing.

It's being presented as a high-end piece in the league of Millennia or Manley, and makes mention of Inward Connections stuff.
